Our film will be mainly aimed at males, although females may watch it also. This is because studies have shown that horror films build adrenaline which males prefer to females– this is shown mainly through the fact that more males play and prefer sports than females.

The age of the people we are aiming the film at is 15-25 because our opening sequence is set in school and is casting teenagers so it would appeal more to younger people, as it can relate more to them than older people. Moreover, younger people generally find horror films more exciting than the older generation.

The race of the majority of the population in the UK are British white people so it is rational to assume that our film will be watched more by white people than black, so this is the ethnic race we are targeting. However our main character has a black ethnic background so the film may appeal to the black population as well.

The town we have set our film in is mainly populated with people who are of a middle and working class, so we will be targeting people of these classes.
